Who we are
Drowth is the trading name of Ibrahim Shareef, a sole trader based in England. In this policy, “Drowth”, “we” and “us” mean Ibrahim Shareef trading as Drowth.
We are the “controller” of the personal information described here, which means we decide how it's used. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email info@drowth.com.
What we collect
When you request a free demo
Your name, email address, whether you're a creator or a business, your business or channel name, and anything else you choose to tell us: your website or social link, what you need, your audience or business size, how you found us, a promo code or who referred you, and your message.
When you apply to be an affiliate
Your name, email address, a link to where your audience is, and anything you tell us about who follows you.
When you become a client
The details we need to build and run your project: your contact details, the logos, photos and content you send us, and records of what you've paid. Payments are taken by a secure payment provider such as Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
When you email or message us
Your message, your contact details and anything you include.
If we contacted you first
If we got in touch with your business, we found your business name and contact details where you'd made them public, such as your Google Business Profile or website. Before calling, we check numbers against the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS). If you ask us not to contact you again, we'll add you to our do-not-contact list and stop.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to you, build your free demo and send you a plan and price. You've asked us to, so these are steps you've requested before entering into a contract.
- To build, launch and look after your website or products. This is needed to carry out our contract with you.
- To keep accounts and tax records. We have a legal obligation to do this.
- To run referrals and the affiliate programme, follow up once about a demo, and contact businesses that may benefit from a website. This is in our legitimate interests in running and growing Drowth, and we keep it proportionate. You can object at any time and we'll stop.
- To send you news or offers by email. Only if you've agreed, or you're already a client and we're telling you about similar services. Every email has an easy way to unsubscribe.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it to make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted services to run Drowth. They only handle your information to provide their service to us:
- Web3Forms delivers the forms on this site to our inbox.
- Zoho Mail hosts our email.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and protects it from attacks, which involves processing technical information such as IP addresses.
- Stripe (or a similar payment provider) takes payments when you pay us.
- Our accountant or HMRC, if needed for tax and accounting.
We may also share information if the law requires it. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or other legal safeguards such as approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
- Demo requests and enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted. Demo sites are private, hidden from search engines, and taken down within 14 days if you don't go ahead.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, then 6 years for tax and accounting.
- Affiliate and referral records: while the arrangement runs, then 6 years for any payments made.
- Do-not-contact list: kept for as long as we need to make sure we don't contact you again.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use it
- object to us using it, including stopping all marketing at any time
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw your consent, where we rely on it
Email info@drowth.com to use any of these rights. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may need to check who you are first.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, so you won't see a cookie banner.
There's one small exception. If you arrive through a referral or promo link (for example drowth.com/?code=TIKTOK10), we remember that code in your browser's session storage so it's filled in for you on the demo form. It stays on your device, is deleted when you close the tab, and only reaches us if you send the form.
The fonts on our main pages are hosted on our own site, so loading them doesn't send your details to anyone else. Demo sites we build for clients may load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when you view one. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and keep it secure.
If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Age
Our services are for people aged 18 and over. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
